The inspiring tale behind Hosting with Stayly starts with me, Marie.
Originally a teacher, I underwent a transformation in 2019 into motherhood, experiencing the birth of our son followed by the arrival of his little sister 18 months later. Initially content in my role as a mother, it wasn't until my daughter's first birthday that I felt a yearning for a new challenge. Balancing childcare duties at home, I yearned for something more than just tending to more children day in and day out.
In 2020, with my son strapped to my chest, I took on the project management of our home build, and repeated the feat in 2021 with the construction of our second house. These experiences brought me closer to the realm of real estate. Despite attending property courses and training, something crucial was missing: direct interaction with people, the ability to work from anywhere, and the freedom to savor time with my family. My dream was to be my own boss in an exciting venture.
It was during our trip to Rome at the beginning of 2023 when we first used Airbnb that it dawned on me: I wanted to do that too. Deciding to give it a shot with one of our own apartments, it quickly turned into a resounding success. Bookings flooded in daily, allowing me to pursue my passion wholeheartedly with enthusiasm and vigor. I struck the perfect balance between work and time with my children.
Within six months, we had 10 properties and our own thriving business.
